Sitting one day upon a fluffy cotton ball cloud formation up above it all, I laid down upon a comfortable cotton ball, and closed my eyes for a few minutes.

As I opened my eyes, I noticed some colored specks flying about, all excited.

These colors gathered into various rainbows and then separated again, floating about.

I realized that each speck was really some form of Light Being.

So I asked, “Who are you?”

No one answered for a moment or two.

Then one speck flew over to my ear, and she whispered in a tiny strange voice a language I had never before heard. Yet, somehow I was able to understand what she said.

“We are like little light bulbs,” she said. “We flicker on and off. But it is too fast for your eyes to see.”

“Yesterday,” she continued, “we decided it was a good time to begin Our Practice. So here we are! It is very exciting, indeed.”

“What do you practice?” I asked.

“Oh! We are The Rainbow Makers!” she replied. “We Create. We share our Joys with this planet. So now we are Practicing.”

“Oh,” I said.

I sat in amazement, as I watched the specks of light “practice” and perform. They formed rainbow after rainbow, in every shape imaginable. Circle, squares, triangles, and then more and more complex shapes. They created diamonds, hexagons, octagons, and dodecahedrons. The shapes became so complex, their names escaped me. I was transfixed.

“They are creating Sacred Geometry,” I whispered to myself, in disbelief and awe at the beautiful spectacle.

As the day progressed, the Rainbow Makers did one Grand Finale for me. They formed a rainbow spiral around me, spiraling, spiraling, spiraling, around, around, around, me, up, up, and on up into The Beyond, out of sight. I felt blessed and tipsy from all the spiraling, and closed my eyes again, so I wouldn’t fall off my little cotton ball cloud.

The last little speck of light, my friend, remained next to my ear until all the others had left. Then she sweetly spoke once more into my ear.

“How delightful! Soon it will rain here and we will be able to Show Off! The Rain Makers have been practicing, as well. Too-da-loo!,” she said, as she disappeared.

It was getting towards dusk by now, so I decided to head back home. “Hmm,” I wondered, “how did I get up here in these clouds?

And how do I get back down?”

As I was wondering, I noticed the tiniest, thinnest little rainbow appearing in front of me.

“Oh!” I thought, "I’m sliding down this little rainbow back into my own back yard!”

As I slid down the little rainbow, I heard myself shout, “Yahoo!”
