(sequel to Inner Space 7: The Joke and the New Commune)

*The Force and The Yin-Yang Circle* As a journalist, I was recently invited to visit a part of “Inner Space 7” which is usually “off limits” to visitors: what is commonly referred to here as “The Dark Side.” Here follows my account of the new city.
*Yin-Yang Circle* Even though The New Commune, “Inner Space Seven,” is a Buddha Land within the Etheric Dimension, there still is need of what is referred to as ‘working on oneself.’ Many opportunities are provided in which to do this. One way is through “The Dark Side.” In order to transform any lingering misconceptions, delusions, aversions or negative emotions, The New Commune also has a Compassionate ‘Dark Side.’ Compassionate in the sense that it is rather innocuous, as dark sides go. Since all are welcome here, this includes any of Osho’s former disciples who may have done harm to themselves, others, and/or the commune itself, on the earth plane. This is also the learning place for those who harbor regrets, or are caught within a dualistic way of seeing reality. The Yin-Yang Circle is divided into two sides...one Dark and one Light, in the traditional yin-yang shape. The Dark Side has curved walls painted black, the Light Side has curved walls painted white. This department was created to help ‘go beyond’ the concepts of duality, such as us and them, male and female, good and evil, etc., as well as feelings of deep remorse and guilt. The Dark Side deals with “Aversions” of all kinds. The Light Side deals with “Attachments” of all kinds. The wall between them consists of “Let Go” materials which resonate with total harmony. What one learns here, is that attachments and aversions are the same thing, only in reverse...and only by going beyond them, does one find true happiness. The Let Go Wall does not actually exist...it is an illusion which exists through the harmony of sound. This harmony is created through BALANCE from both the dark and the light.
*The Harmonic Scale* Each experience here is measured and weighed, in order to counterbalance it with an equal experience of it’s exact opposite. There is a scale in between the two sides of the yin-yang. This scale is created from “Harmonics.” There is the sound of perfect harmonics emanating from the center of the yin-yang, and this harmonic sound creates the vision of the musical scale. It is upon this musical scale that experiences are weighed within this circle.
*The Back Door* The Back Door to The New Commune leads directly into Dark Side of the Yin-Yang Circle. The Back Door is reserved for those who wish to repair damage done upon themselves and others. This is a compassionate addition to the New Commune, as an alternative to experiencing a Psychological Hell Realm, elsewhere.

* Darth Vader and Leela’s Cookies* To those of you who have not heard of Leela, she was Osho’s “secretary” in the commune in Oregon. She also turned out to have been involved in many crimes against the commune and nearby communities, and finally helped the Buddha Field to collapse. You could say she was a kind of Female Darth Vader, cloaked in the darkness of a Priestess’ Robes. She had taken the trust Osho had in her and, turning to The Dark Side, misused her power, The Force, similar to The Fallen Jedi Knight. I seem to remember Osho once making reference to Leela, back in “The Pune One Commune,” when she was always running around helping his ex-secretary, Laxmi, and had no time to meditate, “Don’t worry about Leela. She will enter through the back door.” I often wondered about this mysterious statement, and wondered what he meant by ‘the back door.’ Perhaps this is what he had in mind. I recently read in “The Yin-Yang Times,” “Her place will be behind Osho, where no one can see her. She will remain hidden, so she can hear many teachings. She will also serve the persons whose lives she has touched. She wishes to serve cookies and tea. These cookies need to be very special...they need to contain mercy and forgiveness. This will be a part of her Recovery from “Darth Vader Syndrome”..........a condition in which one enters a Spiritual Path without Self Examination nor Meditation.....leading one to use The Force to dominate, control and oppress others, often referred to as “The Dark Side. ” I was allowed to meet Leela for a few brief moments. She appeared wearing the Darth Vader Breath Mask and his Black Life Support Suit. Her voice now sounds exactly like James Earl Jones, as does her breathing, through the mask. This, I am told, “is so everyone will see her in a different light.” She has temporarily been renamed Ma Darth Leela, which means “The Mother of the Dark Play of Existence." *MERCY’S KITCHEN* There is a large kitchen in the Yin-Yang Circle. The only things in this kitchen are the ingredients for the cookies and tea, Darth Leela, and gang -friends. Plus all the usual kitchen gadgets and appliances for baking and cleaning up. Her gang has been temporarily named “The Maha!Fia”...which comes from the Italian, meaning “The Realization that one has taken refuge in Excessive Boasting...a Great Braggart.” Darth Leela’s cookies are very large. One ingredient is like chocolate chips. These chocolate chips are made from Darth Leela’s tears. She cries tears of happiness that she is with Osho, and tears of regret over her past actions. These teardrops are collected by ‘The Maha!Fia’ and are stored in a large refrigerator, for later use. There are canisters on a shelf, which contain other ingredients. A little of each ingredient goes into each batch of cookies. The canister’s labels read, “Greed,” Arrogance,” Bullshit,” Crimes,” “Lies,” “Poison,” “Power,” “Control,” “Paranoia,” and “Round of Applause”....all the same ingredients Darth Leela had used to dominate and control others. *OVEN OF ALCHEMY* Once all the ingredients have gone into the cookie dough, large cookie sheets are placed within the huge Oven of Alchemy. This is a special oven which transforms all negatives into positives. On a subatomic level, change occurs, and the cookies take on a sublime quality as they bake. (Well, I have heard that Darth Leela always wanted to own a restaurant.) | |||||||||||||||||||

*Ambrosia Tea* In addition to the cookies, Darth Leela is involved with making a delicious ambrosia tea, which is a special chai made from angelic spices. I notice the spice containers have labels which read, “Love,” “Laughter,” “Compassion,” “Joy,” “Healing,” “Creativity,” “Auspicious Outcomes,” “Bliss,” and “Forgiveness.” I also notice that the angelic spices are delivered on a daily basis to the kitchen by an Angel of Mercy, in a heart shaped pink box.
*Serving* When the cookies and tea are ready to be served, Darth Leela and ‘The Maha!Fia’ must bow down 3 times before serving each individual. Each time they bow down, they become a little more precious within. Then they make offerings of the cookies and tea. They seem most happy to be serving, and this is how they learn and grow (although it doesn’t appear easy for Darth Leela, wearing DARTH VADER’S Life Support Suit and Breath Mask. There is alot of heavy breathing.) The cookies and tea both have an ambrosia quality...tasting like the food and nectar of the gods. | |||||||||||||||||||

* Swami Maha! YodaNanda* Once a day Darth Leela is allowed to study the Neo Jedi Knight’s Lightsaber Training with Swami Maha!YodaNanda, who has graciously offered to Oversee The Dark Side of The Yin-Yang Circle. Swami Maha! YodaNanda is a Master Of Light, a Neo Jedi Knight, descending from the ancient lineage of the legendary Star Wars Yoda. He was reported to have said to Darth Leela, in “The Yin-Yang Times,” quoting his Lineage Master Yoda: "Need a lightsaber do I? Hmmm? You must unlearn what you have learned. Try not. Do or do not. There is no try. Yoda One Tough Cookie is." The Times said, "She will not be allowed to use The Force directly until YodaNanda is satisfied with her abilities to meditate, be kind, and to master the lightsaber for Compassionate Ends." Maha! YodaNanda, whose full name means “Great Realization Of The Inner Warrior’s Bliss,” has his own inscrutable plans for Darth Leela. He appears most strict and mysterious. At the end of each session, Maha! YodaNanda gives Darth Leela a homework assignment of an unanswerable Zen Koan to meditate upon, overnight. She also must sleep in the Darth Vader Suit.

*Recapitulation Theater* The Recapitulation Theater is a Movie Theater where those of The Dark Side must watch all the ‘reruns’ of their lives....every person, place, and event....until their traumatic memories have been transformed. Simple breath work accompanies these films, which helps return all energies ‘taken on from others’ and retrieves all of ‘one’s own energies to oneself.’ Daily movies are shown to each person existing in The Dark Side. Popcorn and soft drinks help soften this “Ground Hog Day” type of discipline.

*The Meadow of New Meanings* One thing I notice, as I watch Darth Leela, is that she always seems to be chewing some kind of bubble gum. At first I thought she was trying to speak in her usual Swear Words, but I noticed that the words came out as pink bubbles. Upon further investigation, I discovered that she was actually chewing a special kind of bubble gum, which comes from a special meadow, called The Meadow of New Meanings. Each time a person chews this gum, all the swear words they like to say, come up for them, as well as negative thought forms. As they try to swear or say negative things, a bubble forms, instead of the words. These bubbles then float about in the air, and eventually pop! As they pop!, they release the sounds of joyous laughter...and the angry energy is transformed into joy. It is amazing to see “Darth Vader” blowing bubbles through the Breath Mask. The Meadow of New Meanings is outside Mercy’s Kitchen, and is home to “The Holy Esoteric Cow” and “The Bull.” The Holy Cow is full time engaged in eating religious conditionings and illusions, and in turn, gives the milk of Clear Light Nature for the ambrosia chai. The Bull works full time passing pink bubble gum, often referred to as “Holy Cow Dung,” which is quickly harvested. Once brought inside, a secret ingredient, called “SSShhhhh!” is added, which gives it its magical powers, and keeps the flavor Everlasting.
*The Garden of Regrets* Right next to ‘The Meadow of New Meanings,’ sits the ‘Garden of Regrets.” This is the place where ‘regrets’ are planted, grown, and are harvested. So far, three plants are growing here. One is the “Must Have Been Nuts” tree. Every time anyone feels they did something stupid, new nuts appear on this tree. The nuts then go into Leela’s cookies. Another is the “Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time” vine. This vine grows berries which add a zing to her tea. New berries appear each time a new regret pops up. The third is the “What Was I Thinking?” flowering bush. Beautiful flowers grow on this bush every time a person thinks, “Oh jeez.” The flowers are then placed throughout the city in every room in beautiful arrangements, bringing beauty and perfume to all.
*The Light Side* I didn’t have time to tour The Light Side, but I did hear it consists of many experiences such as “All is Groovy,” “The Sunny Side of the Street,” “Good Vibrations,” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” These experiences almost all come within the formats of movies, romantic songs, novels, musical broadway plays and day dreams, as well as addictions to foods, substances, and relationships. Participants “lose themselves,” within The Light Side, and never experience The Down Side of life. All their efforts have been in maintaining their attachments to their imaginary happiness. Their new ‘work’ is to learn to see reality As It Is. Sometimes they need to experience EXTREME BOREDOM through the lack of any challenges from ‘darkness.’ Maybe next time I will have the time to visit The Light Side. Until then...........
