only to see
I have brought myself

knocking at the door

he doesn't seem to mind
softly rapping
tapping
while I sit here napping

whispering my name

I didn't even care
to offer him a chair

hands nestled beneath my chin
he settles within
sitting in the most comfortable chair
he brushes my hair
then braids appear

I thought I heard him sigh
