music playing is Amazing Grace

newly edited 1/21/06

As I sat in my daily meditation practice today, I came to the familiar part where I like to lightly play with The Angels and say, “I love you.”

Up until today, this playfulness has consisted of joyous sparkles of golden glittery energies quickly and lightly bouncing playfully back and forth between me and the angels. It was fun and made me smile.Today, however, as I enjoyed the angel’s golden glitters, I imagined a hand reached down from above my head, to take my hand, and pulled me upwards out of my chair, out of the room, up, up, up, into what appeared to be An Angelic Realm!

When we had arrived, I was able to see that the hand belonged to my niece, CJ, who had left her body in January of 2000...four years ago. Realizing it was her, I cried tears of joy to once again be in her presence. She looked the same...around 14 years old, and she was dressed all in white. She had sparkly glitter clinging to her hair and flowing gown. Everything about her was alive and full of sparkles, glistening aurora borealis, like tiny shiny gemstones and reflective rainbows. Little crystals were sewn into her dress. Her face shown with a healthy glow and rosy cheeks. A crown of flowers was woven into her hair. They were tiny pink roses intertwined with real little stars. Shining from her back were whisps of golden-white light. She was breathtakingly beautiful. In her hand she held a secret. This secret took the form of a newborn baby, which she held in her arms..The baby had the sweetest face I had ever seen. CJ looked very happy to see me!

We hugged and I cried. As I finished crying, she spoke to me.As she spoke, it came to me that she might actually be an angel, although I have heard that angels are not actually human beings. So I asked her, “Are you an angel, CJ?”

She laughed a huge laugh out loud. Then she proceeded to try and explain to me Who she was:

"The traditional view is that Angels are not Human Beings.

I am a kind of Angel In Disguise.

Earth is filled with us.

It is a kind of nickname,

like when someone says, ‘You’re an angel.’

An Angel In Disguise can do lots of good.

But if people THINK you’re an Angel,

you can’t get away with Anything!

Some people call us Bodhisattvas.

Other people call us Helpers, Teachers and Friends.

We sometimes are referred to as Dakinis,

Spirit Guides or Spirit Helpers,

and The Native Americans call us Their Ancestors,

like Great Grandmother Spirit and Great Grandfather Spirit.

No one really knows

who or what we are,

to tell you the truth!

We arrive on Earth, play and help awhile,

and then we stay and help through the Spiritual Curtain.

Some people call this The Veil.

We get to go back and forth.

But it’s All One Thing, really.

They call where we are ‘The Other Side.’

They call where you are, ‘This Side.’

But it’s all One Side.

The Other is Here,

and Here is There.

It’s a little hard for me to explain.

It’s like an Illusion.

You never know when you meet An Angel In Disguise.

We are Incognito.

If somebody knows you’re An Angel in Disguise,

you can’t do as much.

We come to earth and play here,

and then we Help!

I enjoy baking cakes and goodies.

One time I made a four layer cake!

I always enjoy Helping Others

and Creating Laughter.

So it’s kind of Like That.

Sometimes I Cook Up Light Hearted Experiences

through

Synchronicity,

showing up to say I Love You

when poeple least expect it,

and need it most.

Come on. I want to show you where we play.

We say ‘play.’

We say ‘play,’ not ‘work’.”

Next, CJ took my hand and gently guided me up a very high stairway. I could not even see the top...nor the bottom, for that matter.

“These are steps,” she continued. “Some people call it Jacob’s Ladder, and other people call it The Stairway To Heaven. These are really the steps up to Our Heavenly Abode. Our Heavenly Abode is where Beings Have Peace. It is very powerful. Sometimes we all laugh, it is So Much. When all of us are together, it sometimes feels Too Much.”

I noticed a beautiful Rainbow arching from the Stairway, down to Earth. "That’s The Rainbow Bridge,” CJ explained. “Lots of people and animals find their ways to Heaven on this rainbow. Their pets wait for them next to The Rainbow Bridge, so they can go Over The Bridge Together, into Heaven. While they are waiting, the pets play with all the other animals here. Pets are very sweet that way.”

CJ and I stopped for a moment, to pet some dogs and cats, and then we played with some birds, rabbits, and even some goldfish in the pond. Every imaginable pet was there, happy and playing in the fields and flying in the air. After we said hello to all the animals, we went horseback riding together, CJ on a white stallion, while I rode a palomino mare.

Then it was time to climb the Stairway To Heaven.

"So now stand on the steps where you feel OK...” CJ continued, "where you feel most comfortable. Then we will get off there, to play around. That’s it, really.”

I saw a landscape I have often seen in meditations. I call it A Pure Land, or an Etheric Retreat. Whatever it is, it certainly is Breathtakingly Beautiful.

"This is my favorite one,” I told her, filled with Awe.

It was a vast landscape of golden fields of wheat, and bright green grasses, with a rainbow of bright pastel wildflowers strewn about. There was a bright blue sky with pearl white clouds. I always stood up on this same high meadow, looking down on the beautiful view below. A few birds flew high in the sky. In the distance was a range of violet-tinged, snow- peaked mountains. Many animals were here...deer and rabbits, butterflies, and the like. All were friendly and no one was afraid, as there was No Suffering here. And everything here had a golden tinge to it’s coloring.

Suddenly CJ bent down to pick up her Bagpipes and proceeded to play Amazing Grace for us. I silently watched her transform in front of me. Her white robe gradually changed to a long Traditional Scottish Skirt made of wool in The Fraser Tartan, with a white ruffled blouse and short black velevt blazer. She wore a silver and amethyst brooch on her jacket in the shape of a thistle. She gently tapped her right toe onto the earth keeping time to the song. Her music touched me so deep into my soul that I began crying as if my insides were being squeezed out. When she was finished, she took me by the hand again, pulling me down, down, down, into the earth. And just as suddenly, we came back up, Pulling An Anguished Being with us! The Anguished Being was Happy again, and started to dance and sing, with much abandonment and laughter. It basically Went Nuts with Ecstasy!

"This is what we do,” she said, giggling. “We say ‘hell-raise’. We’re Raising Hell, here !”

CJ and I started to laugh uncontrollably, until we were rolling in the grass. In fact, I laughed until I cried. It all was just Too Funny!

Then, just as suddenly as she had appeared, CJ flew off, saying,

"Come back again some time to play.”

Slowly opening my eyes, I found myself sitting back in my comfortable meditation chair, in the living room, with tiny bits of tears still lingering on my eyelashes and a warm smile upon my I lips. I whispered, "I love you, CJ."

I felt something warm and soft wrapped around my shoulers. It was a beautiful shawl in The Fraser Tartan. I decided to go for a stroll in the hills of Highland Park in Ben Lomond. I wanted to visit The Waterfall.

And it was all so real.

The CJ Foundation exists in the memory of Christen Jean Bohntinsky (Cj).  She passed away on January 20, 2000, at the age of fourteen, after a four-month battle with myelodysplastic syndrome (a disease that causes the bone marrow to stop making blood).  During her illness, Cj and her family benefited greatly by using Complementary Holistic Therapies (CHTs) in conjunction with traditional medicine.

Because of Cj’s illness, the Bohntinskys discovered for themselves that CHTs provide the opportunity for families to become directly involved in the care of a loved one.  CHTs also assist patients and families in making the necessary physical, emotional, mental and spiritual adjustments required by life-threatening illnesses.

With the assistance of family and friends, the Bohntinskys created

CJ Foundation in 2000.

The CJ Foundation exists to help lessen the anguish, anger and bitterness that families often experience when facing tragedy.
